Basketball (Wheelchair)

PEI Mustangs & Junior Wheelchair Basketball (Charlottetown)

Competitive and junior programs for learning and playing wheelchair basketball. Offers two programs: The PEI Mustangs, a competitive team in the Maritime league, and a Junior Program for youth (ages 7-16) to learn fundamentals.

Offers recreational and competitive training for the Paralympic precision sport, using ramps and pointers as needed.

Para-Cycling Program (Provincial, rides near Charlottetown)

A summer program (July-September) in partnership with Cycling PEI and CNIB PEI. Provides a variety of adaptive bikes (tandems, handcycles, trikes) for weekly group rides of 5-20 km. Open to ages 5+.

Fitness

Adult Fitness Program at Synergy Fitness (Charlottetown)

A structured adult fitness program in a partnered gym setting. A partnered fitness program for adults with a physical or visual disability, offering cardio and strength training in a 12-week cycle. Sessions are held twice a week (Tuesday evenings & Saturday mornings). Contact ParaSport PEI to register.

PEI Ice Breakers Para Ice Hockey (Crapaud)

Sledge hockey program. Practices are Sundays at the South Shore Actiplex. Sleds and sticks are available for rental. Sledge hockey program for the winter season with equipment available for rent.

Swimming

Aqua-Abilities & ParaFit Programs (Charlottetown & Summerside)

Multi-tier aquatic programs for children and adults in Charlottetown and Summerside.

Offers Three Tiers:

1) Aqua-Abilities for children (5-17) to learn basics.
2) Advanced Aqua-Abilities for skill development.
3) ParaFit for adults for fitness or competition training.

Programs run at the Bell Aliant Centre (Charlottetown) and Credit Union Place (Summerside).

A growing program that follows standard tennis rules, with the allowance of two bounces.
Sessions are planned for the Victoria Park Tennis Courts and West Royalty Community Centre.
